A pub full of Manchester United supporters were filmed going crazy in the moments after Patrice Evra's stunning goal put the Red Devils 1-0 up against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

The French left-back scored one of the goals of the season to fire United into a shock lead - and the supporters inside the Red Square pub in Manchester could not conceal their delight.

There were euphoric scenes as the United fans started to believe that the impossible was indeed possible.

However, the video cuts out seconds before Mario Mandzukic levelled the scores for the home side with a close-range tap in. David Moyes' side went on to lose the match 3-1, crashing out of the Champions League in the process.

Still, nobody can take that euphoric minute away from the Manchester United supporters, who may need to wait a while before their witness their side competing in Europe's premier club competition again.

For the first time in 18 years, the Red Devils will not be competing in next season's Champions League group stages, unless they miraculously finish above Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal to land a fourth-place finish.

How much longer will it be before Manchester United fans can celebrate moments like this again?
