Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be without 11 first-team regulars on Saturday as his side's injury crisis continues.

The Gunners face an important semi-final clash against Wigan Athletic at the weekend in a game the north London side will be desperate to win.

Wenger's side are hoping to go all the way in the prestigious cup competition in order to end their eight-year barren spell without a trophy.

However their plans leading up to their showdown with the current holders of the FA Cup have been hampered by news that Wenger could be without nearly half of his first-team squad.

Wenger confirmed earlier today that Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tomas Rosicky are all likely to miss their side's match against Wigan Athletic

The aforementioned trio join Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil on the sidelines - while Mathieu Flamini has been forced into sitting out Arsenal's next fixture through suspension.

Theo Walcott, who today announced the birth of his new-born son, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere, Serge Gnabry, Nicklas Bendtner and long-term absentee About Diaby make up the list of 11 players who will be spending Saturday evening in the treatment room rather than the hallowed turf at Wembley Stadium.
