The Miami Heat face the Indiana Pacers in a crucial game at the top of the Eastern Conference tonight.

The Heat are looking for a win that would move them to the summit the Conference with just two regular season games remaining before the playoffs.

But they will have to do it without the services of Dwyane Wade.

Eric Spolestra this morning confirmed that his star will again be missing from the roster, extending his absence to nine straight games.

Wade has been struggling with a hamstring injury for some time now and the Heat are clearly unwilling to risk him prior to the postseason - even if it costs them that potential fourth home game in the conference finals.

Wade has, to date, sat out 28 games so far this season for the Heat who are 18-10 without the 32-year-old.

The Pacers meanwhile are expected to return all five of their usual starters for the game after resting them in their win over the Milwaukee Bucks last time out.

Frank Vogel's team currently lead the regular season series 2-1.
