CM Punk looks set to appear on TV screens once again, with WrestlingInc.com citing reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that claim the absent WWE superstar is being advertised as a guest on a new season of 'Maron'.

CM Punk - real name Phillip Jack Brooks - was formerly one of the biggest and most high-profile names in the professional wrestling business, yet has not been seen on any WWE shows since the Royal Rumble back in January.

Such an absence has never been truly and comprehensively explained by either party, with WWE supremo Vince McMahon having previously stated that the seven-time world champions was 'taking a sabbatical'.

Despite Punk not involved in any house shows in the lead-up to the event, many fans still evidently retained a hope that he could make a spectacular comeback as part of the Wrestlemania festivities that took place in New Orleans last weekend.

While that did not happen, Punk did appear on a recent episode of AMC's 'Talking Dead' but, as expected, he did not discuss his situation regarding the WWE.

WWE fans - do you still hold hope of a return for Punk or do you think he is gone for good?

Does the company miss him and were you disappointed that he did not form part of any storyline at Wrestlemania XXX? Let us know in the comment box provided below...
