WWE: Hulk Hogan fires warning to The Shield

WWE legend Hulk Hogan warned The Shield that they should "be careful who they mess with" after the trio received a heavy beatdown on Monday night.

On a typically eventful edition of Raw at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama, The Shield - the stable which comprises of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns - were placed into a main event match by Stephanie McMahon but curiously not told informed of who their opponents were.

As it turned out, it was a grossly unfair 11-on-three handicap bout that ended in a no contest and the trio - who had earlier interrupted a tag-team match between Randy Orton, Batista and The Usos - receiving harsh punishment at hands of the newly-reformed Evolution.

And after witnessing the show, Hogan - one of the most experienced faces in the business who recently returned to the WWE to host Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans earlier this month - provided a stark word of warning for the ambitious Shield.

"Just finished watching Evolution destroy the shield, be careful who you mess with brothers. HH," he said on his official Twitter account.
