New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony will miss the remaining two games of the regular season with injury.

The star, who's future at the franchise is uncertain, will miss the games after an MRI earlier revealed a shoulder injury.

Whilst no surgery is currently required, the Knicks player has suffered a tear of his labrum according to reports from ESPN.

The Knicks season has been a poor showing with little hope to gleam from except the appointment of Phil Jackson which may help Carmelo Anthony to stay.

His contract is up and should he leave, he will be in high demand.  The Knicks missed out on the playoffs, just, after a late season comeback but their poor form returned to haunt them.

With only two games left of the regular season, the Knicks will be happy to go in to the season break without being to plagued with injuries and with a lot of time to start the inventible off and on court changes to bring the team back up to expectations.
