Luke Shaw has told Manchester United that he will sign for the club this summer if the Red Devils can agree a fee with Southampton, according to The Daily Mail.

Manchester United are prepared to spend over £100 million in the summer transfer window, and recent reports have suggested that the club are closing in on a £30m switch for the England international.

And now it appears that the Shaw - who is a priority target for David Moyes - will be offered a salary of £80,000-a-week to sign for the Premier League champions.

Manchester United have been on the lookout for a new left-back for some time now and, with Patrice Evra expected to leave the Old Trafford outfit this summer, Shaw looks set to be his long term replacement.

The youngster has enjoyed a fine season for the Saints and is knocking on the door for a call-up to England's World Cup squad.

With a major overhaul expected at Manchester United this summer, it appears that Shaw could be the first signing for David Moyes in the up coming market.

Manchester United's immediate focus, however, will turn to this weekend's Premier League clash with Everton as David Moyes returns to his old stomping ground for the first time. The Red Devils will be desperate to secure all three points at Goodison Park as they look to end the season on a high.
