Today has proven to be a busy news day within the WWE Universe, and we're here to take a look at the main stories coming out of the industry.
AJ Lee has been the focus of much speculation with rumours suggesting CM Punk cost her the title last week and now she has "walked out" just like he did. It doesn't seem that is the case, instead it seems the longest reigning divas Champion asked for some time off after 295 day reign and dropping her belt was the first step of this. As of yet there is no scheduled time for her return.
Talking of absences, Summer Rae is set to be off the TV for a while as she and The Miz have began filming for The Marine 4. Layla has taken her place alongside Fandango and it seems according to the leaked Raw script she wont be returning until May 16th.
Rey Mysterio was another noted absence on that Raw script with him down as "injured" when in fact the masked superstar is on holiday with his family after the birth of his third child Marie.
Darren Young is set to be absent for a while as well after he tore his ACL on Saturday at a live event, the "no days off" superstar has already undergone surgery and is on the road to recovery.
Moving onto Monday Night Raw and the IC title tournament was not the original plan for Big E as he was set to have Christian claim the title shot he missed out on a few weeks ago on Main Event.
It now seems WWE were given the bad news that he wouldn't be available and had already scrapped the idea for the Alberto Del Rio/Big E feud so they decided on a tournament to find a new number one contender.
