Wednesday night saw the last game of the NBA's regular season completed, with the Western Conference Playoff seedings confirmed in the process.
Tony Parker led the San Antonio Spurs to the top seed position despite two straight defeats in their final games, and they will face Dallas in their play-off game. The first battle takes place at the AT&T Center on Sunday lunchtime.
Kevin Durant hit 42 against the Pistons on Wednesday night, meaning the Oklahoma City Thunder took the second seed place ahead of the LA Clippers. OKC will now face the 7th seed Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
The Grizzlies were glad of an overtime win over the Mavericks to keep them ahead of their 8th seed opponents, who could have leapfrogged them with victory last night.
Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs now face bogey side San Antonio instead.
The Clippers had to make do with the no.3 seed position, which ties Doc Rivers' side to a match-up with the Golden State Warriors.
The sides meet at the Staples Center on Saturday afternoon in what should be the start of a fascinating series.
Although both teams rested players, a Clippers victory over Portland would have given them a chance of the second seed spot, instead Will Barton hit 23 for the Trail Blazers as they kept up their momentum heading into the post-season.
Houston and Portland will go head-to-head on Sunday night, as the fourth and fifth seeds in the Western Conference come together.
With both sides finishing on an identical win/loss record it promises to be a very well matched affair at the Toyota Center.
And just a re-cap on how the playoffs pan out...
After the teams have locked horns four times, twice at each arena, there will be a further three matches if the results demand to decide a winner in a best-of-seven series before the semi-finals are confirmed.
