Borussia Dortmund have got another one over Manchester United today as they are closing in on the signing of Matthias Ginter, according to talkSPORT.

Reports in Germany suggest the Freiburg centre-back is prepared to reject a move to Manchester United in order to stay in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

The news comes on the same day Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp ruled himself out of the running to replace David Moyes at Manchester United.

Premier League champions Manchester United are said to be keen admirers of £9million-rated Ginter - however their interest levels in the 20-year-old may have diminished since Moyes' dismissal from the club.

Ginter, who made his international debut for Germany in March, has attracted widespread interest after impressing for Freiburg throughout the season.

Manchester United are likely to be in the market for a new centre-back as Rio Ferdinand could join Nemanja Vidic in leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season.
