Three Manchester United stars had a private bet between themselves on just how long David Moyes would last in the hot-seat at Old Trafford.

According to The Daily Mail, a trio of outcasts - who were sitting in the stands during one game towards the end of Moyes' tenure - discussed just how long it would be until the former chief was offloaded at the Theatre of Dreams.

Yesterday morning ultimately proved to be the end of Moyes' spell in charge of the Premier League champions.

His last game in charge, which saw his side comfortably beaten at the hands of his former club Everton, ended Manchester United's slim chances of securing Champions League football for next season.

With these reports suggesting that the Manchester United players placed bets on the future of their manager, it was clear for all to see that there was problems within the dressing room at Old Trafford.

Fans of Manchester United will now be hoping the players pull together in order to help the club secure a strong end to the season.

With Ryan Giggs in charge on a temporary basis, the Red Devils will be looking to secure maximum points from their remaining four Premier League fixtures, starting with their game at home to Norwich City on Saturday.
