Ex-Manchester boss David Moyes hated the 'Chosen One' banner that was pinned up inside Old Trafford, according to The Daily Mail.
If reports are to be believed, Moyes - who was sacked as boss of the Premier League champions after just under nine months in charge yesterday - took a disliking to the banner and believed it implied that the job had been gifted to him.
Much was made of the banner throughout Moyes' troubled tenure in charge of Manchester United, and ultimately it will be no more after the Scot lost his job.
The ex-Red Devils coach had a terrible record on home soil and lost a number of games at Old Trafford.
Recent 3-0 defeats at the Theatre of Dreams against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City seemingly went some way towards his dismissal.
Moyes and Manchester United will now both have to move on, with Ryan Giggs now in charge of the club on a temporary basis.
The Welshman will be hoping to lead Manchester United to all three points against Norwich City this weekend.
