Manchester United have finally decided to take down David Moyes' Chosen One banner -following the Scotsman's dismissal from his role at Old Trafford.
The banner had been hanging in the Stretford End since the beginning of the season when Moyes was nicknamed the 'Chosen One' after Sir Alex Ferguson's decision to appoint the then Everton boss as his successor.
Moyes' reign at Manchester United lasted just nine months as he was dismissed from his role as the manager of the Premier League champions on Tuesday morning.
Fans of the north-west club had grown frustrated with Moyes after months of below-par performances in all three domestic competitions.
There had been calls for Manchester United to take down the Chosen One banner before Moyes' sacking, however the club decided to leave it hanging.
Manchester United even had to hire stewards to guard the banner in certain games to make sure fans did not try to destroy the banner.
However Manchester United will have no such worries anymore as the banner has been taken down in time for their side's next game against Norwich City on Saturday.
