The Undertaker argued with WWE over losing the streak?

It may have been one of the biggest decisions Vince McMahon has ever had to make, but the choice to end The Undertaker’s famous WrestleMania streak has been accepted by many as one which had to be made sooner rather than later.

One man who rumour has it wasn’t impressed by the notion of the 21-0 winning run being ended by Brock Lesnar on April 6 however was The Undertaker himself! Sensational reports from the Wrestling Observer, relayed by IMDb, claim that one of wrestling’s most legendary individuals had to be coerced into agreeing to lose to Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX, which is a story at odds with other reports suggesting Taker had called the shots regarding the fight himself.

Of course this latter report was rubbished quickly, and it was in fact McMahon who made the decision to have Lesnar win. The only conundrum now is to discern if the rumours regarding The Undertaker’s unhappiness at the idea of losing his streak are true or not.

According to IMDb the initial plan was for Lesnar to lose and the streak continue, though this was scrapped after McMahon realised that The Undertaker’s ageing body probably couldn’t withstand many more big shows.
