Want to write about US sports for GiveMeSport?

Football News

How does getting paid to write about Kevin Durant sound? OK, maybe you're a LeBron James fan. Or an NFL nut. Or a MLB junkie.

Well, GiveMeSport is hiring and we want freelance writers to cover US sports for our recently launched US edition. We need knowledgeable, passionate sports fans to write about the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB - and even the MLS, UFC and college sports.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, then get in touch.

GiveMeSport is growing fast, but we want to give our users more of the stuff they want to read about - and that means more exclusive interviews, up-to-date features and the odd controversial opinion article thrown in too.

We love to prompt thought-provoking debate, and much of our content focusses on our unique multi-page feature and opinion long-read articles that you can't find elsewhere.

So, who are we looking for? Well, we need up to 20 new freelance writers who will be paid £200 ($336) per month. You'll get your own beat to cover - that could be the NFL or the NBA, or maybe even something more specific like the MLB National League or the NHL draft.

It's completely up to you.

But you must commit to writing 30 articles over the course of each month, each consisting of at least 400 words. As for what topics you write about? Again, that's up to you. You could do 30 news stories, you could do 30 features, or 30 opinion articles - or a combination of all three!

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please send an email to listing the top three sports you'd like to cover for GiveMeSport along with your CV and any links to previously published work.

Good luck!
