Football News

Kobe Bryant has had very little to do these past few months except put his feet up and watch the Lakers decline without his influence. The NBA icon has, though, been using his time to pursue a few other ventures, and last week was scene making an appearance in the Nike commercial for this summer’s World Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are the stars of the advert, but there is a little cameo from Bryant as he appears sat next to Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo, with the two spectators watching on-field chaos ensue.

Following their performance together, Pirlo, who will travel to Brazil this summer with Italy, tweeted Bryant hoping to convince the Lakers legend to make an appearance at the World Cup, which begins in June. He tweeted: “Hello @KobeBryant, it is always a pleasure to talk football with you. See you in Brazil?”

Bryant responded to wish Pirlo the 'best of luck' with his national team.

This latest ad is the second in which Bryant has appeared in tandem with a prominent footballer, with he and Lionel Messi having recently teamed up for a commercial advertising Turkish Airlines, where they travel the world having a ‘selfie off’
