Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could be set for a triple fitness boost ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League semi-final showdown against Atletico Madrid, after John Terry, Eden Hazard and quite amazingly Petr Cech all returned to first-team training ahead of that clash earlier today.
Cech was ruled out for the season with a dislocated shoulder picked up in the first leg last Tuesday, but a miraculous recovery allowed the Czech star to train today and be back in contention for selection at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Blues boss Mourinho is still expected to stick with veteran stopper Mark Schwarzer for as Chelsea go in search of their third successive European final, with Cech still likely to need surgery before the campaign closely.
Hazard meanwhile also trained and looks ready to feature for the first time since suffering a calf strain early in the quarter-final second leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain, providing much needed spark and dynamism in the final third.
Veterans Terry and strike star Samuel Eto'o are also back in the fold and hoping to persuade Mourinho their experience warrants a gamble over fitness, although a string of huge performances from second-string stars in Sunday's win against Liverpool at Anfield has made his selection dilemma all the more pressing.
Mourinho may rather harshly drop Ashley Cole in a defensive reshuffle to accomodate Terry, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic in both full-back positions so the Blues skipper can resume his commanding central defensive partnership alongside Gary Cahill.
One area where Mourinho's options are slightly more limited is central midfield, with Frank Lampard and Jon Obi Mikel both suspended after picking up cheap yellow cards at the Vicente Calderon last week.
David Luiz and Ramires look set to provide a protective shield in their absence, while despite being a peripheral figure in recent weeks Oscar could be primed for a recall in Chelsea's biggest match since Mourinho returned for his second spell in West London.
Chelsea predicted XI to face Atletico: Schwarzer, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Eto'o
