Kevin Durant is on the verge of being named the NBA League MVP for his performances this season, but it seems he's getting his fair share of criticism as well, with newspaper the Oklahoman labelling him 'Mr. Unreliable.'
The headline was ran on this morning's Oklahoma City Thunder section in the local newspaper, in what is arguably one of the strongest attacks on Durant to date.
Yes, the premier ball player hasn't been good in the Thunder's series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
But does that really mean that he has to be the scape goat for their troubles? Media builds champions and can strip them of their reputation in an instant as well.
The only way Durant can answer his critics is by playing big in tonight's Game 6 match-up at the Grizzlies.
It's the double edge sword that comes with being a league MVP candidate, and you to admit that Durant hasn't been anywhere near his best thus far.
In the regular season he averaged 32 points per game but during the playoffs he has only managed 28 a game.
There is still time for Durant and OKC to turn it around though, and those at News 9 still believe in them as this tweet and picture show.
