Jameis Winston is killing his NFL draft stock

The franchise quarterback is someone that will always be in the public eye. From the time his name gets read out at the Draft to the very last time he plays a snap on the football field, his every move will be covered and scrutinised by rafts and rafts of media and members of the public looking for social media recognition.

This is why Jameis Winston needs to grow up and stop doing stupid stuff that is getting him in trouble - not with the law - but NFL GM's and the media that are constantly getting new sources with which to criticise the Florida State Seminoles quarterback.

The stolen crabs legs saga is just childish. The immaturity of shoplifting cannot be put down to "youthful ignorance" like his statement said - which was the biggest effort of contrived faux regret I have ever seen in my life.

The BB gun battles are something that a ten-year old would take part in, and even a pre-teen wouldn't consider it okay to break windows and not take ownership.

I can excuse the whole Burger King re-fill thing. I think everybody has snuck extra soda sometime and i can confess to doing so myself.

What i have never been however, is questioned and investigated for sexual assault/rape. I have also not been let off from aforementioned rape charges because general ineptitude and lack of vigour from a police department to properly investigate the case.

Jameis Winston has massive character issues, he makes Johnny Manziel's off-field issues like signing autographs and becoming a celebrity look like nothing (wait, maybe they're not big deals.)

And you can bet your life savings that there aren't people in NFL sides that aren't dropping the FSU man down their list with every passing misdemeanour and negative PR scandal.

Winston may have won a Heisman and the National Championship, but he's not good enough to expect the rubbish he pulls off the pitch to be over-looked by scouts, coaches, GM's, and owners.

My advice to Winston, stay at Florida State for as long as you can, and grow up!
