Gary Ballance Blog: Excited for England chance

I’m really looking forward to the next few days of training, getting used to white ball cricket and getting together with the England lads to prepare for our game up in Aberdeen.

Since my last England game there have obviously been quite a few changes off the field but it’s always exciting when there are new people involved. The new coaches are very highly rated and I am sure they will do an excellent good job.

I have worked with Paul Farbrace when he was at Yorkshire so I am excited to work alongside Farby again and obviously Peter Moores. There are so many good players around so I can’t wait to get training with the boys.

It has been a busy time for me lately and over the last few days it has been great to announce the partnership with New Balance who are my new kit supplier.

I am very pleased because they are a global brand who supply a number of the top players in the world and their kit is really good. I’ve been using it so far this season and their bats are superb and all the kit they have given me is brilliant. I am looking forward to working with them over the next few years.

In professional cricket you have to be happy with what you are using. New Balance have delivered this far and I just hope I can keep scoring plenty of runs this season in all forms!
