World Wrestling Entertainment have in the last 24 hours taken social media by storm with a touching tribute to eight-year-old superfan Connor Michalek, who made an indelible mark on the company during his fight against brain cancer after asking to meet his favourite superstar Daniel Bryan back in 2012.

Conor went backstage at Raw shortly after making that request and soon made a big impression on Bryan, chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon and rest of the WWE staff, flooring Triple H in a memorable moment for the youngster before the show started.

McMahon and senior WWE staff saw Michalek's condition worsening and decided to invite him to Wrestlemania 30 as an extra incentive to keep fighting, a challenge young Conor took on with relish as he took up a ringside spot at wrestling's biggest event.

Sadly the little lad, or Conor The Crusher to give him an affectionate wrestling moniker, lost his battle with cancer shortly after watching his hero Bryan beat Batista and Randy Orton at Wrestlemania, but a touching video tribute ensures his spirit will live on.

Watch Conor's amazing backstage pass to the WWE universe unfold in the video at the top of the page, and thumbs up to the sports entertainment superpower for making a little boy's dream come true!
