LeBron James is the overwhelming favourite with the bookmakers to earn a third successive NBA Finals MVP award as the Miami Heat look to achieve a three peat this season. Kevin Durant may have been named the regular season MVP, while he is also in the finals race with Oklahoma City Thunder, but he is a distant second to make it a double of individual triumphs this season.

LeBron has been placed at 9/5 to be the finals MVP once again, while Durant is way back on 9/1. John Wall of the Washington Wizards is named as the third most likely, but he has long odds of 25/1, while Russell Westbrook is even further back.

The Heat are already 1-0 up in their Eastern Conference playoff with the Brooklyn Nets, and remain the favourites to be NBA champions once again having achieved supremacy in both 2012 and 2013.

LeBron was top scorer with 22 points in a 107-33 win for the Heat at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, and the second of seven encounters takes place at the same venue on Friday.

Elsewhere in the Eastern, the Wizards are one-game up against the Indiana Pacers while, in the Western Conference, the LA Clippers lead Durant’s Oklahoma and San Antonio Spurs are 1-0 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
