NFL draft wide receivers, Mike Evans and Odell Beckham Jr. have joined the ranks of athletes signed with Nike, Darren Rovell has announced today.
Rovell, a sports business reporter with ESPN tweeted today: "Nike has also signed Mike Evans, Odell Beckham Jr., Anthony Barr & Eric Ebron to endorsement deals"
While these draft hopefuls cannot completely control where they will be drafted and therefore what rookie contracts they will be on, they are able to fully control endorsement deals such as these.
It's never too early for NFL stars to star on the endorsement game and they simply don't come much bigger than Nike.
The sporting goods giant has also signed the top four quarterbacks in the draft Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr.
The announcement of these deals, just one day away from the draft is not just an indication of these athletes marketability but also of their potential draft stock.
These are the players that Nike believe will turn into future NFL stars and they are jumping on their backs early.
