Lucas Piazon has played his last game for Vitesse and could be in line for a return to Chelsea next season, reports Voetbal International.
The midfield star was one of a number of Chelsea players to make a temporary switch to the Dutch team at the beginning of the season and has managed to impress.
In 24 appearances the Brazilian has scored 11 goals and created eight and it seems he may have caught the attention of Jose Mourinho.
Reports in Holland claim that Piazon will not return to Vitesse next season, increasing speculation that he will be plying his trade at Stamford Bridge next season.
Piazon was recently named the second best youngster in the world by Gazzetta dello Sport with only Adnan Januzaj of Manchester United finishing above him.
He became one of the most expensive 17-year-old's ever in 2011 when Chelsea forked out £8m to sign him from Sao Paulo.
However, his development has not been as rapid as the Stamford Bridge faithful would have hoped. He spent a season on the bench at Malaga, only make four starts in the league before moving to Vitesse last summer.
At 20-years-old, he is finally starting to kick on. If he does return to Stamford Bridge, he will struggle to make Mourinho's starting line up. Stars like Oscar, Eden Hazard and Willian are currently operating across the attacking midfield line and will prove tough competition for Piazon.
