The most polarising draft prospect of all time has finally had his future decided, Johnny Manziel has been selected by the Cleveland Browns with the number 22 pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Johnny Football will be plying his trade in Cleveland, coming off two seasons at Texas A&M University where he became the first ever freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.

He electrified college football with his undoubted talent and on-field showmanship, despite controversy throughout his college years, Manziel's talent was never in doubt and his hard work has culminated in a first round selection.

Possibly the most hyped player of all time to enter the NFL draft, his journey to the pros is finally over after being selected with the 22nd pick by the Cleveland Browns after they worked a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Manziel began to sweat in the draft room after many teams had passed on him finally got the phone call he'd been waiting for and found out his new home will be the dog-pound in Cleveland.

Manziel spoke to Deion Sanders after being drafted and described his emotions on the night "Little bit of anxiousness, little bit of nervousness but I am a firm believer in whatever team fell in love with me would be the right team for me."

Chants of "Johnny, Johnny" echoed from the Cleveland fans situated in the Radio City Music Hall who erupted with cheer when Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Manziel's name.

Skip Bayless was tweeting throughout the nights proceedings in outrage of how Manziel was being passed up by almost every franchise, when his man finally got chosen, this is what he had to say: "Third time's the charm: Cleveland FINALLY makes the steal of the draft - ALL-TIME STEAL - landing Manziel on 3rd shot, No. 22."

Will Johnny Football be starting on opening day, it remains to be seen but as the panel at the draft exclaimed: "There is hope for Cleveland Football"
