Johnny Manziel still cocky and confident despite draft fall

Johnny Manziel was dealt a huge blow Thursday night when he significantly dropped down the board during the first round of the NFL Draft.

The former Texas A&M quarterback is likely to have taken a hit to his ego after the fall to the 22nd pick overall, and that result may leave him drastically out of pocket as well.

Now he will still pick up a fair salary at Cleveland, not to mention plenty of endorsements, but you can’t help feel that Manziel will be a little wounded today.

However, when he went up on the stage Thursday you wouldn’t have thought that he’d dropped down the board. Not at all, it looked much more likely that Manziel had actually gone in the top ten according to his demeanour on stage.

Johnny arrived on stage and almost simultaneously started to do the famous money signs gesture with his hands above his head, and his Browns cap on.

Some people may call that gesture cocky, but who cares really? He’s just a young man showing that he’s ready to take the NFL by storm.

Most great players have that arrogance, and Manziel has certainly got that in abundance.
