After last night's NFL draft drama, the Dallas Cowboys are preparing to make a draft splash in the second round tonight.

In the first round, the Cowboys had a chance to select quarterback Johnny Manziel with the 16th pick. However, they instead decided to take Zack Martin despite many of their fans chanting Manziel's name.

Tonight according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Cowboys:“are looking to make a big move up.”

The move is expected to be for a key defensive player after taking an offensive player in the first round.

The Cowboys had one of the worst defenses in the league last year and will hope to improve on that record in 2014. One of the players that they may be interested in is Louis Nix. Nix is a defensive tackle from Notre Dame and was expected to be a first round choice.

However, Nix has fallen out of the opening round and could be available to the Cowboys at the top of tonight's draft fi they can strike a deal.

The Washington Redskins could be such a team, the 'Skins have the second pick in the second round and could  be willing to do a deal with the divisional rival.
