Zlatan Ibrahimovic rounded off a successful season at Paris Saint-Germain by scooping the Ligue 1 player of the season award last night - but even that wasn't enough to raise as much as a smile from his team-mates as his attempts to speak French.

The Swedish striker hit an impressive 25 goals in 31 league appearances to help PSG canter to the title - while his 10 goals in the Champions League helped his side to the knockout stages, where they were defeated by Chelsea at the quarter-final stage.

That form led to the 32-year-old being named the best player in France this season - however his attempts to speak the language of his adopted country when picking up the prize were derided by watching team-mates Marco Veratti and Salvatore Sirigu.
