WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan could be stripped of his title after he revealed that he needs neck surgery.

Bryan will have surgery on Thursday and could miss one to two months of action on the wrestling scene.

And, if reports from wrestlinginc.com are to be believed, everything regarding his championship will be up in the air until the surgery has taken place.

The fans' favourite took to Raw last night to declare the news and insisted that he will return stronger than ever.

Bryan has faced a backlash from Kane, Triple H and Co. since winning wrestling's ultimate prize at 'The Grandest Stage of them All' last month, and fans will now be hoping that he returns back to full fitness.

It had been suggested that Kane and Bryan were set to continue their feud, however this may now have to be put on hold.

WWE fans: Do you think Bryan should be stripped of his title if he's out of action for a sustained period of time?
