The son of ESPN Radio breakfast presenter Mike Golic has been signed up by the New Orleans Saints.

Mike Golic, Jr, has quite a stellar college record with Notre Dame where after 40 appearances as a guard and a center and helped Notre Dame to over 200 yards average per game.

After this he was snapped up by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2013 but was let go after the preseason.

His father, Mike Golic is one of the most popular voices on national sports radio with the Mike & Mike In the Morning show on ESPN radio, with co-host Mike Greenberg.

He was a defensive tackle also for Notre Dame and was drafted by the then Houston Oilers.

Mike Golic, Jr is in fact the second of his sons to play football for Notre Dame as younger brother Jake also plays for the Irish.

There’s no guarantee at all that he will get past the preseason again, as the Saints themselves pointed out that he was previously dropped.
