Liverpool star spotted taking in Miami Heat playoff win

The Miami Heat took out the Brooklyn Nets last night to progress in the NBA playoffs and Liverpool and England soccer star, Daniel Sturridge, was there to see it happen.

One of the English Premier League's most clinical strikers was able to witness a finishing master class of another nature Wednesday as the Heat overcame a late deficit to win 96-94, progressing to the Eastern Conference Finals in the process.

LeBron James top scored for the reigning NBA Champions with 29 - racking up nine rebounds and five assists in the process.

Sturridge, who is in Miami enjoying a break before he links up with the England national team ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup in Brazil, also saw veterans Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh finish with 28 and 16 points respectively.

And the Liverpool man tweeted his excitement as the game progressed:

"Having a great time at the #NBAplayoffs @NBAUK it's been a pleasure. Supporting @MiamiHEAT. #letsgoheat!!!," he posted to his Twitter account.

Next up for Miami is the winner of the Washington Wizards vs. Indiana Pacers series, with the latter currently ahead 3-1.
