Why the Washington Wizards will reach the finals

The Washington Wizards really need to pull it out of the bag tonight.

Marcin Gortat, Bradley Beal, John Wall, Trevor Ariza, Nene and co. are behind 3-2 in the series against the Indiana Pacers and they are at home.

Now normally being at home would be a massive bonus for a team in this situation, but somehow, for the Wizards it is a disadvantage. The team has failed to win any of the playoff games that have been played at Verizon Center despite a great set of fans getting behind the side and urging them on to succeed.

It is completely mystifying as to why the Wizards are on this slump but they sure as hell have the talent to break it up.

Gortat and his shaved armpits - yeah seriously the Polish Hammer shaves his pits - absolutely destroyed the Pacers in the last encounter and they desperately need him to do the same today.

He ended the last game with 31 points and 16 rebounds and he will need a similarly dominating performance against Roy Hibbert and David West to see his side through.

The 30-year old has stepped his game up an incredible amount in the playoffs and it's through his takeover performances at the center position that his side can make it to the eastern conference finals against the Miami Heat.

They have all the parts to get there, but execution has been sadly lacking. And a series loss to this stuttering Indiana side will be an embarrassment.
