Juventus are reported to have identified Edinson Cavani and Mario Manzukic as a potential acquisitions for the summer transfer window as Antonio Conte makes plans to reinforce his goalscoring ranks. Both players have also attracted the interest of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Conte already has Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente among his number and the duo managed 34 goals between them in Serie A last season. But, according to Italian newspaper TuttoSport, the Juventus manager wants another reputable acquisition.

Cavani has been outlined as an ideal signing and, although the Uruguay international joined Paris Saint-Germain less than a year ago, could seemingly be on his way out of the Parc des Princes before the transfer deadline.

Juventus will, however, have competition in their hypothetical pursuit of Cavani, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United. The club may be without a manager, but Manchester United representatives are reported to have made an approach to gauge the possibility of bringing the player to Old Trafford. A £60 million offer has been mooted.

Manchester United have also been linked with Mandzukic, although the Bayern Munich forward has more readily been mentioned as a target for Chelsea. It has been claimed that Chelsea could clinch a deal for the player were David Luiz to move in the opposite direction.

It would, then, appear quite a task for Juventus to triumph in the race for either player, although there is plenty of running to take place yet.
