The Miami Dolphins have reinstated previously banned Safety Don Jones after he issues an apology for homosexual tweets through the Dolphins media relations department.
Jones was initially fined and indefinitely excused from Miami's off-season program on May 11th after sending out controversial tweets during the 2014 NFL Draft.
After the St Louis Rams drafted openly gay Defensive End Michael Sam in the seventh round, Jones tweeted saying: "OMG" and "horrible".
Many of his tweets were in response to the televised coverage of Sam kissing his boyfriend shortly after the selection.
Jones was told by the Dolphins that he would have to undergo educational training before being able to return to the off-season workouts in Miami.
The Safety who was a seventh round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft had an impressive rookie year forcing one fumble and having 10 tackles despite appearing as a backup in all 16 games.
It is yet another social media blunder to be associated with the Miami Dolphins stemming from this years draft after Center Mike Pouncey deleted his twitter following controversial tweets surrounding Dolphins first round pick, Ja'Wuan James.
