Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering bringing Barcelona star Victor Valdes or Real Madrid man Iker Casillas to north London, according to The Standard.

If reports are to be believed, the Spanish duo have been monitored by the Gunners chief in recent time.

Arsenal appear to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper in the up coming market, with Emiliano Viviano returning to Palermo after his season-long loan deal with the Emirates outfit.

Lukasz Fabianski - the star of Arsenal's FA Cup success - also looks set to depart the club this season, after only being used as a back-up to Wojciech Szczesny in the league.

It remains to be seen as to whether Arsenal step up their interest in either of the La Liga duo in the near future, but both stars would add valuable experience to Wenger's squad.

Casillas and Valdes have both enjoyed great success in Spain over a sustained period time, and would certainly help the Gunners' quest for the Premier League title next term.
