WWE: Daniel Bryan set for RAW return

Daniel Bryan underwent next surgery in Pennsylvania last week, however the champion is slated to make a WWE comeback next Monday on RAW according to prowrestling.net.

WWE are billing Bryan as a key part of the event: "Witness the return of Daniel Bryan when he answers Stephanie McMahon's demand to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship,"

McMahon called out the recovering Bryan earlier this week and although she did not strip him of the belt, she has given him the opportunity to relinquish it.

With this event set to take place next week, it appears that Bryan will at least appear in front of the WWE universe for the first time since he announced he would be leaving for surgery.

However it remains unclear if Bryan will surrender to McMahon's wishes for him to relinquish the belt, especially considering how hard he fought to win it earlier this year.

Bryan won the belt after fending off attacks from Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista at Wrestlemania XXX and has since been on a one-man mission to keep the title away from Kane despite numerous attacks.

Bryan will be only too well aware of what it takes to become world champion and may not be as willing to give the title up. However, he may have no choice with a potential return to the ring still many months away.
