A bizarre incident involving ex-Manchester United manager David Moyes, Patrice Evra and bacon sandwiches played a part in the Frenchman wanting to leave Old Trafford, according to The Manchester Evening News

If reports are to be believed, Moyes - who left the Red Devils with four Premier League games remaining at the end of last season - was furious with Evra after he took a bacon sandwich at  Manchester Airport before the team went on their travels to an away Champions League clash.

Evra then made a passenger announcement on the trip suggesting that the in-flight meal had been changed to bacon sandwiches. Unsurprisingly, this is something that didn't go down well with Moyes.

It had looked likely that the Frenchman - who is out of contract next month - would depart the club this summer, however indications have now suggested that he could stay now Louis van Gaal has been appointed the club's new boss.

He's now undecided as to whether to stay on at Manchester United and could yet sign a new 12-month deal with the club. With Luke Shaw expected to sign for the Red Devils in the near future, United will have to fine left-backs at their disposal.
