Manchester United and Liverpool transfer target Yevhen Konoplyanka will depart Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk sooner rather than later, according to the Ukrainian club's sporting director.

In what will surely be soon as a boost to the aforementioned rivals' chance of signing Konoplyanka, Andrey Stetsenko - quoted by The Daily Express - also confirmed the price of the release clause in the player's contract and further revealed that the club are actively seeking a replacement for their star man.

"Our scouts are working to find his replacement. Sooner or later Konoplyanka will leave Dnipro," he said.

"We know that English, Spanish and German clubs are monitoring the situation and are interested in the player. But we have no offers. His contract has a buy out clause worth £12m for foreign clubs. For Ukrainian clubs the buy out is more."

The battle for Konoplyanka's signature appears to well underway, with Manchester United having joined Liverpool - the club that tried and failed to sign him during the latter stages of the previous transfer window - and Tottenham in the race for his signature.

An experienced international who already has 34 senior Ukraine caps to his name aged just 24, Konoplyanka left a lasting impression on English football fans after netting for his country during a fabulous individual performance at Wembley during qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

A left-sided winger also able to occupy other roles across the forward-line, Konoplyanka is an exciting talent and would surely prove an impressive addition for any of the trio of Manchester United, Liverpool or Tottenham at such an attainable price.
