Chelsea striker Demba Ba is the only player that Turkish giants Besiktas want to sign this summer.

The Senegalese international striker found opportunities hard to come by last season, but did a play a part in the final destination of the Premier League title after scoring the first goal against Liverpool at Anfield.

Ba was tipped to leave the Blues in January, but an injury to Fernando Torres saw his importance rise under manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

But, with Spanish star Diego Costa linked with a move to west London this summer, Ba's long-term future is once again in doubt.

Besiktas have made their intentions clear, with board member Deniz Atalay revealing that they want to sign the Chelsea man in the transfer window.

"We have been linked with a lot of players but the only player we are interested in right now is Demba Ba," he said, according to the Daily Star.

"We have made an enquiry for Ba however, Chelsea have not decided whether they want to keep hold of him next season.

"The rumours linking us with [Samuel] Eto'o, [Bafetimbi] Gomis, [Rafael] Van der Vaart and Aaron Hunt are false."

Ba first burst onto the scene at West Ham United, scoring some big goals in half a season before joining Newcastle United on a permanent deal in the summer of 2011.

After a season and a half up north, Chelsea brought the player for an undisclosed fee in January 2013, but he's failed to hold down a permanent first team position and his future now appears unclear.
