Florentino Perez says Luis Suarez is one of several players he likes and that Real Madrid will continue adding to their squad during the summer transfer window. Suarez has been linked with a €70 million move to Madrid, although has continued to express a desire to stay with Liverpool.

The Uruguay international scored 31 goals as Liverpool came within two points of clinching a first league title since 1990, while Suarez’s displays saw him earn the PFA and FWA player of the season awards.

Real Madrid had been linked with Suarez 12 months ago and, naturally, this supposed interest persists given the way the Anfield star was able to perform to distinction in the season that followed. Perez, meanwhile, has confirmed Suarez is a player he admires, although would not be drawn on whether or not an attempt to bring the player to Real Madrid will be made.

"I like all good players, but especially those of Real Madrid, but I like them all," the Real Madrid president told Cadena Cope.

"Luis Suarez? There are many good players, we will keep improving the squad."

Suarez, for his part, has maintained a wish to stay with Liverpool, and the latest reports claim the 27-year-old has told teammates that he will still be at Anfield next season. He signed a new long-term contract with the club last term, while has just enrolled his daughter at a new school in Liverpool - something that appears to suggest Merseyside will remain his home.
