Friday Night SmackDown is in London as the European tour comes towards an end and the night kicks off with ‘The Mouth of the South’; Jimmy Hart.
Hart is standing in the ring and quickly introduces Hulk Hogan, who returns to London for the first time in over 20 years. Hogan lets the fans know that it feels really awesome to be back in the UK; we get a cheap plug about Legends House which is available on the WWE Network. He goes on to talk about the future and how it looks very bright, and that the UK will be getting the WWE Network very soon and that they’re already on the road to WrestleMania.
We find out that our main event tonight will be a tag team match between The Usos and The Wyatt Family, before it’s revealed that Dolph Ziggler and Batista are in no disqualification action next.
Match One: Batista vs. Dolph Ziggler
We’re shown highlights of what transpired between the two last week and it was a good way to start the night. Back and forth action with weapons also involved. Ziggler sold Batista’s attempted moves very well as usual but we knew which way this was going to end, a Batista victory via a spear.
Result: Batista defeats Dolph Ziggler
After the match Batista gets back into the ring and hits a Batista Bomb on Ziggler, like he did last week. We are then shown another vignette about Bo Dallas, who is making his debut tonight.
Match Two: Cameron and Naomi vs. Eva Marie and Nikki Bella
Divas tag team action next with the returning Summer Rae as the special guest referee. A standard divas match which allowed Naomi to showcase why she is one of the better divas in terms of wrestling, Summer Rae played a big role as the referee but in the end Cameron picked up the victory for her team, pinning Eva Marie with a fast count from Summer Rae.
Result: Cameron and Naomi defeat Eva Marie and Nikki Bella
It’s finally time, the debut of Bo Dallas after quick clips of Summer Rae taunting Eva Marie and Nikki Bella as well as the state of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Bo Dallas comes out and cuts a promo in front of the London crowd before his match, he says that he is living proof that dreams do come true, and those dreams can be felt in your just if you just 'Bolieve'; his debut is against Sin Cara.
Match Three: Bo Dallas vs. Sin Cara
Not the most spectacular of matches and not the greatest of debuts but nevertheless a victory for Bo Dallas, hitting a springboard clothesline for the win. After the match Bo Dallas treats us to a lap of honour before congratulating Sin Cara on his effort and telling him that one day he could be like him, and tells him to keep 'Bolieving!
Result: Bo Dallas defeats Sin Cara
Bray Wyatt is in the ring after the commercial break and cuts another fantastic promo. He says that he can hear them calling out to him, that evil is a real thing and we live inside a bubble where we are safe and secure. Nothing will be able to hurt us while we’re inside that bubble.
He continues saying that they have made us prisoners and when we go against them, they send in John Cena and he is supposed to tell everyone that everything will be okay. He says that this is not a prison as this is our home, this monster has controlled him and us for long enough and he has been put here to take a look at The Wyatt Family beating down John Cena on Monday Night Raw. John Cena has recruited The Usos as his new pawn, but he will drop them when he can. He goes on to say that tonight his brothers will teach them that they can’t tame a beast that they can’t fear, and when John Cena falls, he will be standing.
He finishes off by saying he is forever, and sings “he’s got the whole world in his hands”…
Match Four: Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio
Paul Heyman and Cesaro are on commentary as Sheamus dominated the majority of this match, Cesaro played a part in it when he was punched by Sheamus on the apron and then Cesaro dragged him outside of the ring and sent him flying through the steel steps. He then hit a Neutralizer on Sheamus to show his dominance over the United States Champion.
Result: Sheamus defeats Alberto Del Rio via disqualification
General Manager Vickie Guerrero makes her way to the ring and says she can party with the best of them, cue Adam Rose. He alongside his Rosebuds make their way to the ring as he cuts the majority of his catchphrases and asks Vickie whether she is a lemon or a rosebud. The London crowd begin chanting lemon before telling Rose that she isn’t and he needs to leave the ring. He then sticks a lollipop into her mouth where she falls off the apron and into the Rosebuds as they carry her around the ring whilst she screams.
Just before the main event the cameras go backstage where The Usos talk about how The Wyatts are a family, but they’ve been a family since their birth in 1985, before mentioning that John Cena is the big Uso. Cena attempts a horrible Hulk Hogan impersonation before finally reverting back to himself and says that actions speak louder than words, as we head to our main event.
Main Event: The Wyatt Family [Luke Harper and Erick Rowan] vs. The Usos
Another back and forth encounter but not the best of main event matches, a number of decent spots to keep the fans out of their seats but nothing overly special. The match finished with Bray Wyatt pushing Jey Uso off the top rope to award The Usos the win via a disqualification. John Cena then ran down to hit an Attitude Adjustment on Erick Rowan before he and Bray Wyatt stared off to conclude this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown; with only one episode of SmackDown left before Payback.
Result: The Usos defeat The Wyatt Family via disqualification
