Manchester United have recently been linked with Netherlands youngsters Jordy Clasie and Bruno Martins Indi, and now the Old Trafford club know that their star centre-forward would approve of the purchases.

Robin van Persie has speaking speaking to the Dutch press about his teammates in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup in Brazil this summer and was asked for his views on Clasie and Martins Indi. Manchester United's title-winning top goalscorer from the 2012-13 lavished praise on the pair and commented on the massive improvements they have made recently.

"I've received many beautiful passes in my career but that ball from Clasie against Ecuador was definitely one of the nicest," he is quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"And we you see, for example, how Bruno Martins Indi makes himself available, how he receives balls, how he passes and looks around him. Compared to last year there is a world of difference."

Manchester United this month confirmed that current Holland manager Louis van Gaal would become the permanent successor to sacked David Moyes at Old Trafford after his duties with Oranje at the World Cup in Brazil were completed. Recent reports suggested he would like to bring both Clasie and Martins Indi with him to the Red Devils from Feyenoord when he begins the rebuilding process.

Manchester United's squad, according to many, is in dire need of some serious restructuring and the Dutch pair are two of the most highly-rated talents in the Eredivisie. Clasie is a creative attacking midfielder and Martins Indi is a strong, tough-tackling centre-back.
