Chicago Blackhawks goalie under investigation for squirting heckler

Shock and horror pervades through the ice hockey community as Corey Crawford may or may not be under investigation for the most heinous crime of all, squirting a heckler in the face with water.

I know, how could Crawford commit such a horrible crime. And will the NHL clamp down on the goaltender like Adam Silver did against Donald Sterling, who committed an equally egregious crime.

This really is a bunch of pathetic rubbish, and as you may have guessed we have that bastion of journalism that is TMZ! to thank.

According to the website, Crawford is "under investigation by the LAPD" after allegedly squirting a heckler in the face with a water bottle during Monday's Game 4 loss to the Kings.

Apart from the fact that he really isn't under investigation at all by LAPD according to pretty much any reputable sports website that exists on the old internet.

According to the report, Clark Wong claims that Crawford filled up his water bottle with 'backwash' on purpose before spraying it over him in a move that makes about as much sense as this story.

Wong was later ejected from the game for being a heckling idiot and apparently went to the doctors after suffering from eye irritation. Maybe he should get his head checked out while he's there.

We'll leave final word to LA Kings defenseman Alec Martinez who simply told Wong, “Good luck with that.”
