Álvaro Vadillo (Real Betis)

Football News

It is almost certain that Álvaro Vadillo has played his last game for Real Betis. Although his progress has not been as steady as Betis might have hoped, the 19-year-old remains one of the most exciting talents in Spain.

Comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo are excessive, and in part due to their similar rangy statures, but Vadillo does possess excellent dribbling and ball-control abilities. A serious knee injury sustained in 2011 has meant Vadillo is yet to find consistency at first-team level, especially when it comes to final product, having yet to score in La Liga, and his crossing remains poor for a winger.

But this consistency will come with age, and with Tottenham, Fiorentina, AC Milan and Liverpool all interested in the Spain Under-20 international, it could be time for Vadillo to take his game to another level.
