La Liga players set to depart following relegation (6)

Carlos Peña (Real Valladolid)

Football News

Carlos Peña has proved a very dependable left-back for Valladolid this season, with the 31-year-old only missing one game all season in La Liga. He provided four assists from defence, only topped by right-winger Patrick Ebert, who left for Spartak Moscow in February.

Unfortunately, Peña will be remembered for scoring both against, and for, Real Betis, in a crucial relegation battle that Valladolid went on to lose 4-3. The former Spain under-21 international would provide a solid outlet for one of the promoted sides, or even a Rayo Vallecano or Elche, who are operating on small budgets.
