Chelsea want to sign Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis, according to the player's agent.

As reported by, the agent of Luis - Garcia Quilon - has revealed that the Blues are interested in his client, however has revealed that the Spanish outfit aren't looking to sell.

Luis, of course, played a key role in Atletico's fine campaign last season, which saw them crowned La Liga champions and reach the Champions League final.

And, with Chelsea on the lookout for a new left-back, it appears that Blues boss Jose Mourinho has identified Luis as the man he wants to bring to Stamford Bridge.

However, it won't be easy for Mourinho to bring the defender to the club this summer, as his agent told reporters: "Chelsea? The interest is there, but Atletico don't want to sell.

"They want to keep every player they can for next season. Then, we'll see what's happening with different players, but Atletico don't have any intention to sell anyone."

With Ashley Cole set to depart the club on a free transfer, Mourinho will be hoping to add competition to his back-line ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Chelsea will be desperate to improve next season, as Mourinho looks to bring silverware back to The Bridge. It remains to be seen, however, as to whether Luis will be part of the Chelsea squad for the up coming season.
