Arsene Wenger is ready to celebrate his new Arsenal contract by going on a £100m transfer spending spree, according to the Daily Express.

The report claims Wenger will get £100m to improve the Arsenal squad this summer, and he has already lined up his top priorities. He wants another goalkeeper to replace the departed Lukasz Fabianski, a right back to replace the Manchester City bound Bacary Sagna and another striker.

The striker could potentially be the most expensive addition, with Arsenal linked to a number of top flight European forwards.

Karim Benzema, Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata are just three of the big money names linked with the Gunners and the first two in particular may cause Giroud to doubt his position as first-choice forward. They would both likely cost in excess of £25m.

But should Wenger want a striker to supplement Olivier Giroud rather than replace him, the Gunners boss could move for the £8m-rated Loic Remy.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp admitted earlier this month that his club will find it difficult to hold on to the Frenchman because he wants Champions League football.

Earlier today Arsenal announced that Wenger had agreed a new three-year contract at the club that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2017.
