Spain really do have a splendid array of talent - don't they?!

David Silva, Juan Mata and Andreas Iniesta are just some of the names that will be lining up for the current World Cup and European champions at this summer's World Cup in Brazil - but it was one of their defenders who stole the show for La Roja in their latest pre-World Cup training session.

Chelsea ace Cesar Azpilicueta, who has managed to secure a spot in Vicente del Bosque's 23-man squad on the back of an incredibly impressive season at Stamford Bridge, will make headlines for this outrageous effort in training.

The Chelsea defender decided to attempt to audaciously chip Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina from around 18 yards and actually pulled it off.

Azpilicueta's lobbed chip looked completely effortless as Reina was left to scoop the ball out of the net.

The rest of the World Cup nations will be thinking they have no chance of wrestling the World Cup crown off of Spain if their right-back has the audacity, confidence and skill to attempt such a strike.

You can watch Chelsea star Azpilicueta's training ground goal, which was brought to our attention by ITV Sport, above.
