The Koreans possess an energetic and hard-working team with an abundance of talent in attack. Their fast counter-attacking style could prove decisive against a team like Russia in the Brazilian heat.
During qualification, defending set pieces was a problem. The goalkeepers have been inconsistent and the defence can lack organisation.
Ki Sung-Yueng. After impressing on loan at Sunderland, he will hope to play a pivotal role this summer. He keeps the ball well and can start an attack from deep.
A defeat against Russia in the first game could see them on an early flight home but beat the Russians and they might make it through the group.
