With Chelsea linked with a number of targets this summer including Diego Costa, Filipe Luis, Tiago , Luke Shaw, Cesc Fabregas and many more, Jose Mourinho should consider moving on a number of players this summer transfer window to generate vital funds to finance his pursuit of such targets

Petr Cech

Petr Cech had a fine individual season, making this the most questionable potential departure mentioned. Despite having the most clean sheets in the Premier League which as a result meant his inclusion in the PFA team of the year, this could be the Czech stopper's last year at Stamford Bridge.

Cech has proved that he is still one of Europe’s top keepers, but the emergence of Thibaut Courtois means Chelsea should cash in on the former Rennes star. No longer can Chelsea afford to keep the young Belgian away from Stamford Bridge with his La Liga and near Champions League success proving he is already among the worlds top keepers and could potentially be the Chelsea No.1 for the next decade.

John Obi Mikel

The arrival of Nemanja Matic meant a significant reduction in the Nigerian's playing time in the second half of last season. After his controversial move to west London from under the noses of Manchester United, Mikel never truly developed into the world class holding midfielder that many expected. With Jose Mourinho’s signing of the Nemanja Matic making it abundantly clear that Mikel is not fundamental to his future plans, the Nigerian looks set for the exit door this summer. With reports claiming he is already in discussions with Italian club Inter Milan, it looks like the end of an era for the once so promising Chelsea midfielder.

The strikeforce

Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto and Demba Ba all fail to fulfil the role of a “real striker” according to the Special One. Chelsea’s most notable deficiency last season was the inefficiency of the front men and despite all receiving ample opportunity to prove that they could be the main man at the Bridge all came up short. With Romelu Lukaku returning from his productive loan spell at Everton and a deal for Diego Costa all but done, all three strikers should be moved to generated funds to further strengthen a squad to challenge for next season's title.
